Neil's return

My brother Neil got home from his two-year mission for our church  in Asuncion, Paraguay October 14. The rest of us Reed kids were excited to see him and we went and met him at the airport.  We had made signs and the kids had cleaned the whole house in anticipation of his arrival. As I've said, I was really excited for him to meet Mr. Baby for the first time.

He was taller, and two years more the wiser, but he was still the same old Neil, with a perma-smile on his face and grabbing Ruth and Sam up in bear hugs with their feet dangling 18 inches from the ground.

Mr. Baby was a little standoffish with Neil - after all, he's 6 foot 4 - but since then, he's warmed up to him a lot. (It may or may not have to do with the fact that Neil is an expert at making animal noises).

Neil is well-liked with LOTS of friends, and I didn't publicize the time of his return because we didn't want to fend off crowds of adoring girls so we could see our own brother, so we kept it to just family. Aunt Robyn, Uncle Blaine and our cousin Nathan came, and with them it was a cozy welcome home.

Neil, we love you and we're glad to have you back.

Neil will be speaking about his mission at the Federal Heights Ward in the meeting starting at 11:45 a.m. on November 14. Hope to see you all there!
