It was really fun to have Ruth "discover" this picture. It brings Neil just a little closer to home. He seems to be enjoying his time there in Paraguay on his mission, in his new area out in the "campo". He even says he is learning some Guarani!! Of course, he seems to pretty much enjoy life in general, as you can see in the picture.

Mis Hijos en Honduras
Annie is getting ready to go to Honduras with Amigos on July 1st. She is going to Lempira the same department (state) that Alison went to when she was 17, and that Neil went to last summer. Annie was reading through her volunteer country materials, when Ruth (looking over Annie's shoulder) noticed this picture of Neil. Isn't it great!! I love how he is the same height as the family in the picture, yet is standing on ground a foot and a half below them.

New York City
We spent a day in the city when we went to visit Alison and Ethan. Here are some of the things we got to see.
Reeds in Times Square
Lunch at the Carnegie Deli. Can you believe Mike would eat horseradish on a pickle? Gross!!
Reed family tree in Central Park
The Egypt exhibit at the Metropolitan Museum of Art
More at the Met
Ruth and Seurat
Sam, Mom, and VanGogh
Rachel, Monet, and Annie
Ruth and another Monet painting. The Impressionist gallery was one of our favorites!!
This painting was painted by a woman and is one of the more famous in the gallery. Sam liked it because it was big, and the horses look very real
Rachel and Picasso
Ehtan and VanGogh's sunflowers
Alison, Ethan and Soren in Central Park
