We heard from Annie!!

Annie wrote from Costa Rica this week. To update those of you who did not hear, Annie's Honduras project was cancelled due to the coupe there, and the ongoing political instability with the deported president trying to sneak back across the border. Annie and her group got switched to Costa Rica, and with having to set up a whole project on a moment's notice, it is five weeks instead of 6. Here is a copy of Annie's e-mail:

Hola Chicos.
How´s it going? I´m at midterm right now. Yeah, I know. Two weeks in and it´s midterm. Wow. Crazy short project. I´m lucky, though. I heard that the rest of the Volunteers had to be evacuated out of Honduras after three weeks and had to go home. At least I have it longer.
I don´t know if you guys have gotten my letters. I think that it takes a week for you to get them, so they should be there, I think. If not, I´ll give you a brief summary of my current situation:
I am in a rather urban community. My partner´s name is Grace, she´s from Chicago, she´s 17 turning 18 today (yay! we´re going to have a cake). We live in seperate houses, we have our own rooms. I have two host sisters, Isabel and Evelyn, and a brother, Moises. Isabel is 19 and she studies during the week and comes back on weekends. Evelyn is 17, and Moises is 13. My host family is great. I LOVE my host mom. She is so nice, and she always makes pan and gives us ice cream and crazy good stuff like that. We teach class every day to about 15ish kids. Our CBI is to improve the community park by painting the benches and making ornamental type area thingies. I don´t know exactly how that´s going to play out. So yeah. That´s basically it.
¡What the heck is going on in SLC?! I don´t know much, but from what I´ve read in Neil´s emails, someting is going on. Are Alison and Ethan there yet? Is Lucia from Honduras staying in my room? Is Shawn still there? HAS ANDREA GOTTEN HER MISSION CALL YET?!?!?! And what is this BYU counseling thing? Agh! I´m so out of the loop. And mom, WHAT is this about all of this ACT crap? I have a whole bunch of emails from them. Did you sign me up for a writing contest or something? I´m so confused. Oh dear.
Anyway, you guys don´t have to answer that. I´ll find out in two weeks anyway. Until then I´ll just die for a little while. How exciting.
For midterm we are going on the internet (obviously), shopping, getting cake for Grace´s birthday (as I said before, i´m just so excited), and hopefully we´ll see Harry Potter 6! Dude, I SO want to see it! We´re thinking that it might be subtitled. We all have our fingers crossed. That would be SO COOl. I like Harry Potter.
So that´s it. I love ya all. Good luck with whatever crazy stuff is going on. Talk to you guyses later.
Annie
