You know you are in Otuzco, Peru, when...

The hospital has a sheep to mow the lawn

The secondary school has a line up assembly every Monday and Friday morning  with the Lord's Prayer and Peruvian National Hymn (Please find the tall, blonde American in the photo)

You find tomorrow's dinner, chicken feet and gizzards, "chilling" in a bowl on the kitchen counter (No refrigeration here!!)

Baby carriers not needed.  A blanket on the back works just fine!!
Llamas and Alpacas are available in the main square for pictures (for a price)

Traditional dress consists of hat, sweater, skirt, and pants

People have time for each other.  Sitting and visiting are important!

Laundry is done by hand on with a scrub brush and wash board

Barbecue includes chicken feet on a skewer.  This is my very FAVORITE picture of all.  We have walked by this woman for weeks, and I finally got the nerve to ask for a picture.  I will treasure it aways, along with many other memories from here in Otuzco, Peru.
